That probably sounds strange, the "seasoned" spouse, especially since I'm 35 and not 65. This is more lingo for the military crowd -a label for spouses who've been around for a while. This blog is a way to relay what I've learned being with the Marines for almost 14 years, maybe help out other spouses. I am more toward the middle, of course there are many who have much more time in, but in the job he is in right now, at the squadron level, my gray hairs are very apparent :), in fact, I was called a "seasoned spouse" just the other day. Most wives are in there 20's, almost hitting 30 so I do have quite a few years on them.
My husband joined the Marine Corps in 1995 I think(I guess I need to check that) and I joined him in 1997. It has been quite a ride, one I never thought I'd enjoy so much. We've travelled to many states, some overseas and have seen so many places and met many friends. It has been a great life so far.
